Over the past 15 years I’ve been purchasing the 1st National Ace Champions of Holland, Belgium and Germany and had great success breeding top foundation breeders from these pigeons. In 1996 I decided to start a loft in Holland racing youngsters back off children of these National Aces. My first year was average but from then on the results went right up to the top. We have placed in the top 3 lofts in all the championships with over 5000 lofts competing and “Super Champion” children have bred us 5 - 1st prize winners with more than 10,000 birds competing. Also a “Super Champion” son bred “Mr. Verbree”, a 1st National Winner and a 2nd National Winner for Koopman and Son. “Super Champion” children have been great breeders. I’ve had over 50 phone calls from clients that bred winners off his offspring. “Super Champion” was a great racer and now he is a great breeder!! Janssen Family.

When I got the call on “Solid Gold” I was very impressed and I knew I had to work fast in order to get her. Usually most race results that are as impressive as hers are normally won at short distance. “Solid Gold’s” results were won at longer distances, races released in the morning and home the same day as release. This is also what I look for. I like a bird with stamina and 1st prizes against thousands of birds at distances say 275 to 450 is ideal.“Solid Gold” has it all and was also the Olympic bird Middle Distance of All Germany.

“Solid Gold” is a strong medium sized hen, with very special eyes. She is a picture of beauty that possesses a homing ability second to none. Without the hen, the male is no better then any other male. “Solid Gold” is a Grondelaers based family with a family tree full of winners. “Solid Gold” is the grandmother to many top breeders and race winners.
